Overnight, Wade or float for Trout

What: Trout fishing on the Yakima River – Mostly resident rainbows and some cutthroat.

When: November 11th-13th

Where: Camping at BLM’s Big Pines Campground in the Yakima Canyon. $15/night, sites are 1st come-1st served in November. No drinking water at the campground.

Please let Dave Swank know ASAP if you plan to attend. Also, let him know if you plan to float the river, and if you’d like to be placed in a shuttle group (each group of ~3-6 people will be responsible for making their own shuttle plans).

There are several easy floats from Umtanum down to Roza (and more options upstream if you're adventurous). BLM charges a $5 per day use fee at each site.
