Meetings, Outings, Classes and Events
Clark-Skamania Flyfishers maintains a robust calendar of meetings, conservation projects, outings and educational events. Scroll down on this page to see the entire line-up.
Note: Click on the illustration on each listing for general information on the event. Even more detailed outing reports can be found in The Broken Barb, the club’s monthly newsletter, beginning with the January issue.
Membership meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month from 6-9 PM, with the exception of July and August. Meetings feature a social program, fly-tying demonstrations and a program on fishing or conservation. Non-members are welcome to attend. A club picnic is scheduled each summer.
Fishing outings are held year-round throughout the Pacific Northwest and include both fresh- and saltwater events for all skill levels from the beginning flyfisher to the grizzled veteran. Members are happy to introduce those new to the sport to the joys of angling with a fly. For those new to the area, it is a great way to learn new waters and fisheries.
CSF supports flyfishing education including our courses “Introduction to Flyfishing” and “Introduction to Fly-Tying” as well as our monthly fly-tying get-together.
Working with our conservation partners, CSF volunteers perform habitat restoration, stream enhancement and fishery surveys. Our annual membership banquet raises funds used to support conservation projects, including stream access throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Remember, you do not have to be a club member to participate. The class size is limited to twelve students; the fee is $50, and registration is first come, first served.

Fly-Tyers “Brew Tie” Night (Copy)
This monthly no-host DIY fly tying with nibbles, brews, and camaraderie is a must for CSF tyers.
Come one, come all to tie some flies and drink a couple beers.
There will be a table available if anyone would like to display their hand-tied flies.
Bring a towel or other cover for the tables to make it easier to gather your tying waste and to prevent glue spots from reaching tabletops.
Ghost Runners is hidden inside a small industrial park so scout the access in daylight. Once found, it’s easy to locate but first search can be tricky. It’s located between St. Johns and Andresen, set far back on the north side of Minnehaha Street.
Bring your fly tying stuff, non tyers are also welcome.
Tyers will meet on the first Tuesday of each month until Spring. For details, please refer to The Broken Barb.
